Per the National Weather Channel, Hurricane Dorian is lashing North Carolina and southeast Virginia with torrential rain, storm surge flooding, and high winds. The eyewall will hit parts of North Carolina's Outer Banks into the weekend. Dorian's maximum sustained winds make it a Category 1 hurricane.
