Sunbelt Rentals locations are open for many holidays, but closed on New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Reservation and Payments

Sunbelt Rentals inspects and services each piece of equipment prior to each rental and should be in good working order. If you experience problems with the tool while renting it, please go to the specific Equipment Detail page within the reservation to request service.

If you need additional assistance, please contact the branch of the equipment rental and they can arrange for next steps or a replacement.

If you want to have protection in the event of damage, Sunbelt Rentals offers a Rental Protection Plan (RPP), which can be purchased at the start of your rental. Learn more here

For DIY users, all you need is your driver’s license or a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card to pay for the rental upfront. No extra deposit is required.

For Business users, all you need is a valid Business Account established with Sunbelt Rentals.

For customers without a line of credit, Sunbelt Rentals does not require a deposit to rent tools and equipment. However, you will be asked for payment information when you make your reservation. Your credit or debit card will not be charged for the rental period (one ((1)) day minimum) until you pick up the equipment.

For Credit Customers, we will secure a deposit for your reservation. This deposit will be held within your account until the rental equipment is returned and the contract closed.

If your project is quick and you only need the equipment for a few hours, Sunbelt Rentals does offer a Rapid Return rate. Return the equipment within four (4) hours of the pickup time and we will refund the difference of the Rapid Return rate. Rates will vary based on product. During a declared state of emergency and a pending or existing natural disaster, all rentals of diesel generators over 15kW will be billed at a one-week minimum rental period for 24-hours of usage.

The one-week minimum rental at 24-hour usage rates does not apply to generators then on rent to a customer.

Delivery, Pickup and Returns

When you keep the equipment longer, we will add the additional time and charges to your contract and credit card.  Please refer to the rental contract, where the day, week and 4-week rates are shown for each piece of tool and equipment.

If your plans change and you no longer require pick-up service, you can return the equipment to the rental location in person.

The equipment should be returned to the same location that you rented it from. If you need to return to a different location, please contact the store where you rented the equipment for guidance. Please call in advance so that we can determine if there is another convenient location that can accept your return.

The Delivery charge is calculated based on:

  • Category and class of equipment
  • The location of the rental location
  • The distance of the project site from the rental location

Sunbelt Rentals offers convenient delivery options from our broad network of locations for a fair price. When you make your reservation, simply check the box that you want the equipment delivered. You will be asked for additional information and shown the delivery and pick up charges. Charges will be applied to the credit or debit card prior to delivery.

Selecting Delivery:

Sunbelt Rentals offers convenient delivery options from our broad network of locations for a fair price. This gives you time back so you can focus on completing the project.

When you make your reservation for any project, select the delivery option. You’ll then be able to choose your delivery drop-off date and time to receive your equipment. Subsequently, you’ll be able to advise Sunbelt Rentals of the estimated pickup date for the equipment rental. Please note, however, this is only an estimation for our purposes and not an end date. To initiate a pickup, you will need to confirm the end of rental via the app or through a phone call, then confirm the exact pickup date and time.

If you have any special delivery instructions for Sunbelt Rentals driver or prefer a contact person to coordinate the drop-off or pickup of the equipment, please include it when submitting your reservation.

Charges (business users):

Your invoice will be updated with associated delivery or pickup fees.

Notifications:

To receive notifications regarding your delivery, go into your Account settings and select “Notifications”. Select the type of notification and you will receive reminders of your delivery and updates when the Sunbelt Rentals delivery truck is on its way or once delivery/pickup is complete.

Yes, curbside is available and will continue to be a permanent offering. Ideal for small tools and equipment and towables, customers can take advantage of this contactless option upon placing a reservation through the app, website, or by phone.

For safety and security purposes you must be 18 years or older and have a valid driver's license to rent our tools and equipment (US Only).

  • Be sure to come with driver’s license or a government issued photo ID which should match the name on the reservation.
  • Upon your arrival, come directly to the Sunbelt Rentals counter and a tools & equipment rental specialist will assist you.
  • At check out, charges will be applied to the credit or debit card provided during checkout and a digital signature will be required agreeing to the rental and contract terms.

All you need is your Driver’s License a government issued photo ID and a credit or debit card to pay for the rental upfront.  No extra deposit is required.

  • Tools and equipment should be returned by the date and time displayed on the contract to the location where you picked it up. It should be clean and in the same condition as you picked it up. Make sure to return any accessories including batteries, cables or attachments. 
  • Upon arrival, come directly to the Sunbelt Rentals counter and a tools and equipment rental specialist will assist you with the return process.

Account Management

Yes! The Sunbelt Rentals mobile app is designed to be the portable companion app to the website. Simply enter your login credentials into the mobile app, and you will be ready to access the power of sunbelt wherever you are.

Simply click your name and select “Account Information”. The My Profile tab will allow you to make the necessary changes to your address or phone number. If you click on the My login tab, you will be able to change your password for logging into your account.

Please ensure that you check in the clutter, promotional, or spam folder for your validation email to confirm your identity. Emails of this type will be sent from the email address no-reply@sunbeltrentals.com.

You might not be able login to your account if:

  1. Your account hasn’t been verified. To verify it:
    • Enter your email address and password.
    • Verify your account with a SMS code sent to your phone number or the Email code sent to your email. It’s the same number or email address you provided while registering your account.
    • Enter the code and you should be able to log in.
  2. You’ve forgotten your password. To reset your password:
    • Simply click the forgot password link at the login page and choose SMS, or email to receive your link to reset your password.
    • Please note that your password must meet the following requirements: At least 8 characters, an uppercase letter, a number, no part of your username, can’t include your first and last name, can’t be one of your 5 previous passwords

A rental reservation places a hold on the type of tool you want to rent for a specific date and time so it's available for you. No payment is necessary for the creation of a rental reservation. 

The rental contract is the document that Sunbelt Rentals agrees to rent specific equipment to you and you agree to the terms and the price listed in the rental contract. Rental contracts are created at the time of pickup or delivery and will require your signature and payment at that time.

While the reservation number and contract number are different, they are linked in our system.
