Sunbelt Rentals Remediation & Restoration 101

Disasters and catastrophes can happen anytime, anywhere. Examples of disasters include a washing machine water line breaking, a building fire, or a flood caused by the failure of a water heater. Catastrophes, known as destructive natural disasters include hurricanes, floods, natural forest fires, mudslides, and earthquakes.  When these unexpected events occur, are you working with your client to establish a contingency plan? Our team is here to support you in doing so.

Shortly after the horrific attacks on September 11, 2001, the Sunbelt Rentals Remediation & Restoration team received their very first response call. This call came from a restoration contractor requesting the loading and shipping of dehumidifiers to The Pentagon after the attacks. Ever since that day, the Sunbelt Rentals Remediation & Restoration team has been offering 24/7 emergency response to quickly mitigate both damage and loss.

In a perfect world, contingency plans would not exist. Realistically though, situations can go awry. A factory can lose power during a thunderstorm. A hotel could lose power after getting hit with 25 inches of snow. Because of these events, a business continuity plan is recommended.

With the latest rental technology, more than 875 locations throughout the U.S. and Canada, and more than 550,000 units of fleet, the Sunbelt Rentals team can assist in any capacity. Sunbelt Rentals offers 13 solutions: Climate Control Services, Flooring Solutions, General Tool & Equipment, Ground Protection, Industrial Heat, Industrial Services, Oil & Gas Services, Power & HVAC Services, Pump Solutions, Scaffold Services, and Shoring Solutions. These specialty businesses work together to provide contractors the Power of Sunbelt. Whether your customer needs dirt equipment, dehumidifiers, scaffolding, ground protection mats, or any other piece of equipment, our team will be there to help throughout any disaster.

The Sunbelt Rentals Remediation & Restoration specialty business consists of nine team members with an impressive combined experience of 95 years. This team has unsurpassed knowledge, an unrivaled work ethic, and their compassion for the community is nothing short of inspiring.

In 2018, Hurricane Michael hit Panama City, Florida, with Halloween right around the corner. The community lost all power and families lost hope for their children being able to experience the festivities surrounding the holiday. Sunbelt Rentals donated around 20 light towers to illuminate the shops in the heart of Panama City’s shopping center. Here, store owners opened their businesses and children successfully celebrated the holiday by trick-o-treating from store to store.

Shortly following the aftermath of Hurricane Michael, Sunbelt Rentals partnered with Operation BBQ Relief. This organization provides meals to displaced residents and emergency personnel during times of natural and other disasters. Throughout this partnership, the Sunbelt Rentals team provided power used to prepare the meals that were given to millions of people in need.

No matter the challenge, Sunbelt Rentals offers solutions that can get your home, your facility, or your community up and running again. With more than 875 locations across North America, equipment needed in an emergency –  such as generators, pumps, aerial work platforms, vacuums, air scrubbers, and dehumidifiers – is readily available. When catastrophic events hit, Sunbelt Rentals also provides disaster response trailers equipped with the emergency equipment and services needed to provide immediate response. These trailers are strategically placed throughout the U.S. to mobilize equipment to affected areas, even before the storm hits.

Above all is the importance of safety. The safety of Sunbelt Rentals customers is more than a priority, it is a core value of the team. Sunbelt Rentals is open from sunrise to sunset seven days a week to support your recovery efforts.
