Sunbelt Rentals Operator training expires 5 years after the training is completed in the United States and 3 years in Canada. Some provincial laws, company requirements or situations may require renewal prior.

Sunbelt Rentals MEWP Operator Training covers MEWP classifications that are made up of a MEWP group (platform location in reference to tipping line) with an associated MEWP type (reference to traveling). This meets training requirements set forth by the MEWP Standards (ANSI – US & CSA-Canada).
If a properly trained and authorized operator needs to operate a different make and model of MEWP then what their hands-on training and evaluation was completed with, familiarization is needed on the different MEWP.
Familiarization provides the necessary information regarding the features, functions, devices, limitations and operating characteristics that is defined by the manufacturer in the operator's manual.
