Our safety goal is to educate our customers and staff in order to prevent accidents.
Sunbelt's commitment to safety encompasses a wide range of programs for both employees and customers. Everyone who attends a session at the Sunbelt Rentals National Training Center receives hands-on training on forklift safety, since forklifts are utilized extensively in almost all Sunbelt operations. The manager of each Sunbelt location administers mandatory worker safety programs, as well as a safe driving program for all employees that operate Company vehicles.
A valuable resource available to Sunbelt customers is an extensive safety program covering scaffolding, aerial work platforms, and forklifts. The Sunbelt Rentals Access Safety and Training staff consists of several trainers that provide OSHA standard "Scaffolding Competent Person" training at each Sunbelt Access Specialist location every two months. This is an all day program offered to customers, with 25-40 people participating in each class. Also offered, are on-site training programs, which can be tailored to the specific type of equipment utilized by a customer. In addition, customized training is available covering suspended platforms (swing stage)and fall protection.
"Aerial Work Platform Safety" and "Forklift Safety" training are also available for our customers. These half-day classes include classroom and hands-on training and are offered both on-site and at Sunbelt Access Specialists locations. To reinforce these programs, quarterly "Safety Updates" are published and mailed to customers.
